The Brief

A health & safety saas that needed a website to match the work.

SafetyHub360 is a multi-tenant Health & Safety compliance SaaS platform built for the consultancy market — particularly Health & Safety consultants like RADCaT, who manage compliance for multiple client businesses across construction, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.

The brief came from a clear pain point: most H&S consultancies manage client compliance through a combination of spreadsheets, shared email folders, and document management chaos. Risk assessments live in Word documents. Audit findings sit in Excel. Training records are PDFs in Outlook. Incident logs are in a separate spreadsheet. Nothing connects, nothing scales, nothing is auditable in real time.

The goal: build a purpose-built compliance platform that consolidates everything — risk assessments, audits, training records, incident logs, document management — into one multi-tenant SaaS. Each consultancy gets its own account, manages its own clients, and works against a shared data model that's designed for compliance from the ground up.

Multi-tenant architecture for the consultancy market

SafetyHub360 is built specifically for H&S consultancies who manage compliance for multiple client businesses. The architecture reflects that: each consultancy gets its own account, with isolated client lists, separate document libraries, and consultancy-branded reporting. Every database query is scoped to the consultancy account ID, enforcing complete tenant isolation at the data layer. One consultancy never sees another consultancy's data.

Compliance modules that mirror real consultancy workflow

Risk assessments, audits, training records, incident logging, and document management each get their own dedicated module — not a generic "documents" feature pretending to be each. Risk assessments include hazard libraries, severity matrices, and review cycles. Audits include findings, corrective actions, and follow-up scheduling. The modules reflect how H&S consultancies actually work, not how a generic CRM thinks they should work.

Built on WordPress + custom PHP, not a SaaS framework

WordPress provides the user authentication, admin interface, and database abstraction. Custom PHP handles the consultancy-specific compliance logic. The combination delivers all the WordPress benefits (mature ecosystem, easy hosting, established backup tools) while writing exactly the code SafetyHub360 needs. Faster to build, cheaper to host, easier to maintain than building from scratch in Laravel or Node.

Alongside the SaaS application, we built a marketing site — homepage, features, pricing, about — with proper SoftwareApplication schema declaring SafetyHub360 as a compliance software product. FAQPage schema, BreadcrumbList schema, and content calibrated for consultancy-market searches like "h&s compliance software" or "audit management saas".

Operational from day one with a real anchor client

SafetyHub360 launched with RADCaT as an anchor consultancy client — not a hypothetical user, a real working consultancy using the platform to manage real clients. The launch tested every feature against real-world consultancy workflow before opening the platform to additional consultancies. Mako Digital remains the operator and developer; the platform continues to grow as a working SaaS business.
