A website as unique as the jewellery

Rosewater Oddities is a handmade jewellery business based in Wigan, creating colourful, quirky, one-of-a-kind pieces. They sell in person at Bygone Times in Leigh and RADCaT in Wigan, but had no online presence to showcase their collection or tell their story.

They needed a website that captured the personality of their brand — vibrant, creative, and full of character. It had to look stunning on mobile, showcase their products through a proper gallery, and help local customers find their physical selling locations.

Most importantly, it had to feel like them — not a cookie-cutter template that could belong to anyone.

Brand & Design Direction

We worked closely with the Rosewater team to capture their brand personality — vibrant, playful, and handcrafted. The result is a custom colour scheme, decorative typography, and a design that feels as unique as the jewellery itself. Video backgrounds and rose-themed decorative elements bring the brand to life on screen.

02

Auto-Loading Gallery

We built a dynamic gallery system that auto-loads images as visitors scroll — no pagination, no clicking through pages. Images are optimised for speed with lazy loading and compression, so even on a gallery-heavy site the page loads fast. The gallery is fully manageable through WordPress — just upload new photos and they appear automatically.

03

Location Cards & Google Maps

Rosewater sells at two physical locations — Bygone Times in Leigh and RADCaT in Wigan. We created interactive location cards with embedded Google Maps, stall numbers, and directions so customers can find them easily. This also feeds into the local SEO strategy, targeting searches for handmade jewellery in both areas.

04

Local SEO & Launch

We optimised the site for longtail local searches — "handmade jewellery Wigan", "artisan gifts Leigh", "unique earrings near me" — with comprehensive structured data, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and clean URL structures. Full domain setup, SSL, email configuration, and Search Console integration completed the launch.

Common questions about creative business websites
It depends on what you need. A simple one-page site showcasing your products with a gallery and contact details is our most affordable option. Sites with multiple pages, auto-loading galleries, and location integrations cost more depending on scope. We provide a fixed quote upfront with no hidden fees.
Absolutely. The Rosewater Oddities site features an auto-loading gallery system where new images appear as you scroll. Images are optimised for fast loading even on mobile, and the gallery is easy to update — just upload new photos and they appear automatically. No coding needed.

Every website we build is mobile-first — designed for phones and tablets first, then scaled up for desktop. With over 60% of web traffic coming from mobile, this is essential. The Rosewater Oddities site looks beautiful on every screen size, with touch-friendly gallery navigation and optimised images that load fast on mobile connections.
Yes. We build gallery systems that are easy to manage through the WordPress dashboard. Simply upload new images and they appear on the site automatically. We provide full training during handover so you feel confident managing your own content.
Local SEO helps people in your area find you when they search for things like "handmade jewellery Wigan" or "artisan gifts near me". We optimise your site with location-specific keywords, structured data markup, and Google Maps integration so search engines understand where you are and what you sell. This drives footfall to your physical selling locations as well as online enquiries.
A site like Rosewater Oddities — with custom design, auto-loading gallery, video backgrounds, Google Maps integration, and full SEO setup — was delivered within a few days. Simpler sites can be done even faster. We agree timelines upfront and keep you updated throughout.
